  MVF unveils new website
MVF recently completed an initiative to update its website.  The primary focus of this effort was to raise the presence of the MVF on the web while providing content that will both inform and educate the public about Value Methodology and the various projects that the Foundation is sponsoring.
Major features include:

  • VM Examples that demonstrate the benefits of VM to a range of applications.
  • Provision of an Interactive Function Analysis teaching tool available to all.
  • A brief, narrated history of Lawrence Delos Miles, the creator of Value Analysis.
  • A library of educational and inspirational videos pertaining to value and VM.
  • A blog open to the public.
  • A discussion board to support our members in academia and our educational program.
  • A portal to the MVF e-learning course.
  • An archive of research papers on subjects pertaining to VM.
  • Details on the Foundations various projects and accomplishments.

A FAST diagram was prepared to serve as a roadmap in developing the new website.  To view it, click here. This website will be updated periodically with new content to keep in step with the times.

If you have any suggestions or ideas on additional features or content, please contact us at mvf@valuefoundation.org.

MVF is now on Facebook and Twitter

One of our new Directors, Javier Masini, has set up accounts for MVF on both Facebook and Twitter.  Please click on one of the icon in the upper right corner of this page to access them.  In addition, you may also subscribe to MVF’s RSS feed to stay informed on updates on MVF projects and changes to the website.

Function Database
MVF is in the process of developing a new online tool that will soon be added to the MVF website.  The tool will be a function database, a kind of thesaurus that is being designed to assist those engaged in function analysis to identify appropriate function statements using the classic verb+noun, two-word abridgement.
It is envisioned that this tool will help foster the proper application of function analysis while assisting people in making creating breakthroughs in better understanding the underling functions behind objects and activities.  This database will be expandable, and the hope is that this tool will become more robust and inclusive as time passes.
This tool will work as follows:

  • The user would first select from a drop-down menu whether the project they were working on was a product, process or construction related application
  • The object or activity being analyzed would be typed in.
  • The database would then generate a list of related functions including basic and secondary functions.
